This beautiful child is now a self destroying adult with mental problems. Smocking himself to annihilation with cigarettes etc. But then, in the moment, he was - still is - the quintessence of beauty and innocence. Crying my eyes out but what can I do? Waiting for the miracle to come, as in Cohen's song, the only thing I CAN do...

An old photo in the style of Caravaggio (jocking!)...but then this emerging of the eyes from the darkness can be backdated to him or even better, to Rembrandt and Leonardo... It works well in photography, too...
